How Did You Get Here?

No, really? How did you get here? What brought you here? I want to know. Don't tell me though. It wouldn't be fair. Especially seeing as I myself don't know what brought me here either. I however know what has spurred me to this point. A restless mind and a blinking cursor. Very different but very much alike. Both just waiting to be used.
Have you ever had an unrelenting feeling that you should be doing something... exciting, but you just can't lay a finger on what? Instead, you just let the feeling wrap itself around your consciousness till it gets kicked to the curb, dissolves into your unconsciousness or shrivels up, wanes and dies. Sounds pretty morbid, doesn't it? Unfortunately, that's what happens more times than not.
And when it doesn't happen that way —the few times it doesn't happen that way— the feeling grows and grows... Until it morphs and explodes into an idea. A much more preferred form by many. Do you prefer an idea or a feeling? Most prefer ideas. Why? Ideas can be easily labeled, categorized, marked. And that puts people at ease. Feelings, on the other hand, are... raw, messy, fluid. It can take hours, days, forever before you figure exactly what it was that feeling was. Feelings... rattle people, put them on edge and keep them on the lookout.
If you like—or don't like— the sound of being on edge or on the lookout, then you should stick around— or not. I'm not in the position to convince you. I myself barely know where I'm headed to with this. Which takes us back to our unanswered question, more specifically, the first one: How did you get here? Where do you think this is headed? Where will you go from here? While you mull over those nuggets, I'll try my best to keep my restless mind and blinking cursor busy.

                                                                                                                                                         Yours, or not,
                                                                                                                                                           Journaled.
